HISTORY OF BETHSADA MENTAL HEALTHCARE CENTRE (BMHC)

Inspired by the Lord Almighty, H.G Dr. Abraham Mor Severios Metropolitan found this Hospital, with the unique mission of giving mental health treatment under custodial care to the unfortunate and mentally ill brethren who are unwanted in their families and ostracized by society. His dream was to win these persons by providing them care and an atmosphere of love and acceptance which would lead to cure. From its humble beginning in 1992 with 50 beds, it has grown steadily in the past years to a hospital with 100 beds. This has been a pioneering institution instilling many others to begin similar ventures. It continues to provide empathetic custodial care by admitting patients with/without bystanders. The love of Jesus and their faith our nursing staff urged to serve untiringly the unwanted, the needy, the suffering and the neglected.
